Acceptable use policy
Effective November 2, 2026
Why this exists
We host our clients’ websites on shared services, and a site we run carries our name too. This policy lists what can’t go on a site we build or host, and what can’t be done with our services. It is part of our terms and conditions.
Content that can’t go on a site we host
- Anything unlawful, or that helps someone break the law.
- Claims that aren’t true or can’t be backed up: a license, classification, bond, insurance, warranty, award or rating you don’t have, or a review that isn’t real.
- Financing, price or “free” offers worded in ways Nevada or federal advertising rules don’t allow.
- Photos, logos, words or other material you don’t own or have permission to use.
- Content that harasses, threatens or discriminates against people, or that shares someone’s private information without their OK.
- Malware, phishing, or anything built to trick people into giving up information.
What can’t be done with our services
- Sending spam or bulk messages through a site’s forms or email.
- Attacking, overloading or probing our systems or other sites. Security research is welcome only as our security page describes.
- Getting into accounts or data that aren’t yours.
- Reselling or sharing access to our services without our written OK.
What we do if something breaks this policy
Usually we’ll contact you and fix it together. If something is unlawful, puts people at risk, or could get a site or our accounts blocked, we may take it down first and tell you right after. Repeated or serious problems can end our agreement as our terms and conditions describe.
Reporting a problem
If you see something on a site we run that breaks this policy, or that uses your work without permission, email us with the page address and what’s wrong. We’ll look into it and reply.
